foot cramps

One thing sure to stop someone dead in their tracks in the dreaded foot cramps. Possibly the worst time to suffer this painful spasm is when driving, you probably have a matter of seconds to safely pull over to the side of the road, before the foot cramps really kick in. Another regular place to be on the receiving end of foot cramps is when sitting up in a public place, such as a cinema, theatre or such like. Also on a long flight, they often decide at the most in opportune moments to pay you a visit. It also seems that once you’ve suffered a bout of foot cramps that the tiniest of movements can trigger another, almost as if the muscle has a memory! To prevent them, really there are three main ways of defence. Regular stretching to increase flexibility; drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration which can cause muscle tension; and exercise regularly to increase circulation and blood flow. If you do suffer from foot cramps then it’s got to make sense to spend a few moments each day to ensure there are no nasty surprises later.
